TAFE Outreach programs are closely aligned to the Federal Social Inclusion Agenda ensuring NSW education is accessible to people who face barriers to learning including geographical and social isolation, language and cultural factors, financial hardship, lack of educational confidence, being unaware of opportunities to learn, a disability or family commitments.

A Gentle Experience

Bruce tells his story where he describes TAFE Outreach as a gentle experience where he was able to grow and heal. Through his experience in Outreach he found himself thinking "I can do this." Bruce is excelling in a Certificate IV in Community Services and eloquently shares his experiences.

Partners in Learning and Community Enterprise

In 2008 TAFE Outreach Sydney Institute won DEEWR Innovations funding for a project informed by many years of TAFE Outreach practice. PLACE Project, Partners in Learning and Community Enterprise is located in Waterloo/Redfern, Marrickville and Woolloomooloo and started in July 2009.
The project aims to build on TAFE Outreach's successful community relationships to provide creative place based solutions to address barriers to employment and community engagement for people who are homeless or at risk of homelessness in the community.
